With much fanfare and anticipation, I started my journey for Cox's Bazar. It took me 9 hours by train from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, but the beauty one gets to see on the way made the journey
worthwhile. From the moment I stepped onto the sandy shores of Cox's Bazar, the soothing sound of waves and the gentle breeze of this beautiful beach enticed me. However, this beach encompasses a wide range of activities: from sunbathing to swimming and beachcombing, and even water sports. The clear, blue waters alleviate the heat. Further from the main beach, wonders like Inani Beach, with its crystal-clear waters and coral reefs, home to a myriad of aquatic life. It was so fascinating to see this undersea world off Inani beach that it made one realize how such beauty and other marine ecosystems exist. We had a fun-filled day at Inani Beach, swaying between its gentle waves, gathering seashells, and drinking fresh coconut water. Apart from beaches, many attractions like Himchari National Park are found located here at Cox's Bazar, which depicts the region's biodiversity. It commands a breathtaking view of the coastline and the surroundings. We went watching the sunset over Bay of Bengal; then, we headed toward the town's market to have a taste of their foods, particularly their local cuisine. Cox's Bazar is known for fresh seafood, and we indulged in a feast of prawns, fish, and crab, cooked in traditional Bangladeshi spices, served with hot rice. Visit bustling bazars, shop for handmade textiles or jewelry, and try out delicious foods. One of the factors that will make your Cox's Bazar visit so unforgettable is the warmth and hospitality shown by locals.
At Cox's Bazar, we were received very warmly in a homely environment, and it indeed attracts our memory. With the day drawing to a close, once more in our eyes comes up the scintillating view of the setting sun of Bay of Bengal.
On the whole, Cox's Bazar is a sojourn of paradise where scenic beauty, rich cultural heritage, warm hospitality combine to make it a memorable experience. That long, sandy beach, green parks with their luscious foliage, and those lip-smacking seafoods make up Cox's Bazar, the one place really having it all. It was that kind of trip which I will never forget, and I am already counting on its repetition very soon.
