Trapped in the Endless Loop: A Tale of Desperation and Despair
Is this life really worth living or is there really any value in the act of living?
I asked myself this question a thousand times and I am still searching for an answer. The time and date continuously change but I feel like I am walking in the same day all over again in a loop. Sometimes I wonder if I am merely a puppet of society because it does not matter what I want to do but rather what society wants me to do. As a matter of fact, not only the society but also the parents think that we have some sort of market value like they are investing in us for future purpose and not recognize us as independent human beings. In this generation, people are so obsessed with focusing on the future that they sometimes forget to live in the present.
A certain friend of mine went into depression and was very clueless during the admission test. Despite working hard and giving his best, he still wasn’t satisfied with the outcome that he was getting. However, He still kept going and wasn’t willing to give up just like that. After getting rejected from all of his dream universities, he only had one more chance to prove himself. He was literally studying 18 hours a day and pushing himself so hard to fulfill his goal but at the same time he was tired, shattered and scared as hell. Sometimes, to get rid of the steam he plays mobile games for 15 minutes just to take a break from his studies which actually helps him to study even more effectively. As a result, the continuous mention of this dissatisfaction from his parents was putting him over the edge. One morning, he was preparing for his admission test and took a break to play.Seeing this his parents became very upset and told him that he wasn’t working hard enough. Do you know what hurts the most? It’s when you're giving your all and still you’re not getting acknowledged by your parents. So, things heated up and the friend of mine just gave up. He left his home with his phone switched off. He went completely AWOL. No one knew where he was. He was just wandering into the streets cluelessly. After some time, He found himself on the bridge of a lake. He was having a glimpse of his life thinking whether every decision he made was right or wrong, whether he would ever be able to reach a point where he could’ve been nothing but happy. People think that giving up is not an option. No matter how many times you fail, you have to try again. But strangely, I feel like despite giving your best, when things don’t go your way and you realize that it wasn’t meant to be, you just put a smile on your face and just give up. So, just like that he gave up on everything he believed. For a fraction of time, some memories, good or bad, flashed before his eyes and then he was preparing to jump in the lake. Suddenly, Something inside him told him to stop and check his phone. So, he turned his phone on and saw 50 or more missed calls from his friends and family. But just that moment when he turned his phone on, the first person that kept calling was his best friend. He received the call and the first thing his best friend told him, “Just come to my place. I’m not gonna tell anyone.” Just like that he gave a pause to what he was doing and then went to his friend’s place. Over there, he saw that two of his closest friends were also there. His friends didn’t judge him or ask him where he was and what he had been doing all this time he was gone. Because his friends knew him better than anyone else. In fact, they knew him better than his family and he thinks of them as his second family.
The biggest takeaway we have been able to take away from this is that life consists of struggles and disappointment but it’s the connections we build that are so dear to us which remind us that life is worth living, every inch of it. Because there is always hope, even in the darkest of times as something good is always ought to come out of it.

Vey impressive writing! It's so relatable. I really enjoyed reading it.
